Description

Symons Cone Crusher Eccentric Assembly: Precision Gyratory Control

The Eccentric Assembly is the kinematic core of the Symons Cone Crusher, converting the rotary motion of the countershaft into the gyratory crushing action. Unlike static components, this assembly operates under high rotational speeds and immense radial loads. A worn eccentric leads to a loss of throw, reduced crushing efficiency, and accelerated wear on the Cone Crusher Liner and mantle.

We supply precision-engineered Eccentric Assemblies compatible with Symons 2ft, 3ft, 4ft (Std/SH), 4¼ft, 5½ft, and 7ft crushers. Manufactured to OEM geometric tolerances, our assemblies ensure the critical hydrodynamic oil wedge is maintained, protecting the bronze bushings from metal-to-metal contact.

Technical Specifications

Our eccentric assemblies meet strict metallurgical and dimensional standards to ensure drop-in compatibility and vibration-free operation.

Core Engineering Advantages

As specialized crusher part suppliers, we understand that dimensional accuracy is the difference between a machine running cool and one that overheats. Our manufacturing process focuses on:

  • Material Integrity: We utilize High-Strength Nodular Cast Iron (Ductile Iron) for the eccentric body. This material offers superior vibration damping properties compared to standard steel, reducing stress on the main frame during heavy crushing loads.
  • Mirror-Finish Journals: The outer surface of the eccentric, which rides against the inner main shaft bushing, is ground to a mirror finish (Ra 0.8 μm). This ultra-smooth surface is critical for maintaining the oil film thickness, preventing scoring and “burn-up” of the bronze bushings.
  • Counterweight Integration: For larger models (5.5ft and 7ft), the eccentric is balanced with precise counterweight positioning to offset the mass of the head assembly, minimizing dynamic unbalance and foundation vibration.

“Authoritative Engineering Data: All critical metallurgical specifications and dimensional tolerances (e.g., ±0.05mm) are strictly governed by the master English documentation. While localized versions are provided for operational reference, the English original remains the sole binding authority for quality inspection and technical compliance.”
