Description
Premium Green Alloy Mantle & Bowl Liner Set: Ceramic-Enhanced Performance
Our “Green Series” Mantle and Bowl Liner set represents the next evolution in Cone Crusher Liner technology. Unlike standard manganese castings, this matched pair utilizes a proprietary Micro-alloyed Manganese Steel (Mn18Cr2VTi) matrix, optionally reinforced with ceramic inserts (MMC). Designed by a specialized crusher parts manufacturer, this solution targets high-abrasion applications where standard Mn18 parts wear out prematurely.
The “Green” designation refers not only to our signature protective coating but also to the eco-efficiency of the design: by extending wear life, we reduce the carbon footprint associated with manufacturing, shipping, and changing out scrap metal liners.
Technical Specifications & Material Science
We combine advanced metallurgy with precision casting. The following specifications define our Green Series performance.
| Component Parameter | Specification Details |
|---|---|
| Mantle Material | Modified Manganese Steel (Mn18Cr2 + Mo/V Micro-alloying) |
| Bowl Liner Material | Ceramic-Reinforced Manganese (MMC) or High-Carbon Alloy |
| Base Hardness | 230 – 260 HBW (Higher initial hardness than Std Mn18) |
| Work-Hardened Hardness | > 58 HRC (Surface) / > 60 HRC (Ceramic Phase) |
| Impact Toughness | ≥ 120 J/cm² (Maintains ductility to prevent cracking) |
| Friction Coefficient | Reduced by 15% due to polished surface finish |
Performance Advantages: The Composite Edge
Why upgrade to the Green Series Wear parts?
- Extended Wear Life: The addition of Vanadium (V) and Molybdenum (Mo) refines the grain structure, allowing the steel to work-harden faster and deeper. In field tests with abrasive basalt, these liners lasted 35% longer than standard Mn18Cr2 parts.
- Ceramic Reinforcement (Optional): For extreme wear zones, the Bowl Liner can be embedded with ceramic particles. These ultra-hard inclusions resist scouring abrasion, maintaining the crushing profile for longer.
- Matched Geometry: We supply these only as a matched set. The CAD-optimized profile ensures the Nip Angle remains constant throughout the wear life, preventing the capacity drop often seen with mixed worn/new parts.
Field Diagnosis: The “Green Paint” Wear Indicator
Our liners come coated in a specialized industrial green epoxy paint.
Visual Check: During the first 10 hours of operation, inspect the liner. The green paint should wear off evenly around the circumference.
Diagnosis: If you see patches of green paint remaining on one side while the other is bare metal, your crusher feed is segregated (uneven). This causes “side loading,” which destroys bearings. Use the paint wear pattern to center your feed belt.
Supply Chain & Customization
As a leading crusher part suppliers network member, we can cast these premium liners for major brands including Metso HP, Sandvik CH, and Symons. We also offer custom chamber redesign services to fix specific production bottlenecks (e.g., modifying the parallel zone to increase fines production).
Expert Engineer’s Note: Installation Protocol
Installation Tip: Because the Green Series alloys are slightly harder initially (260 HBW), they are less forgiving of poor fitment than standard manganese. You must ensure the head and bowl seating surfaces are perfectly clean and free of burrs. Use a high-grade backing compound and allow full cure time (24 hours at 20°C) to prevent the harder liner from cracking under point loads.
“Authoritative Engineering Data: All critical metallurgical specifications and dimensional tolerances (e.g., ±0.05mm) are strictly governed by the master English documentation. While localized versions are provided for operational reference, the English original remains the sole binding authority for quality inspection and technical compliance.”
